Our neighbour (the nephew of the farmer next door to Le Jet D'eau) crashed his helicopter while he was trying to land last week Tuesday right at the bust stop opposite Le Jet D'eau.2 of them were in the helicopter and I was the first one there and pulled them out. It was very scary because the helicopter was still running and we were worried that it would explode !!!!!!
Anyway, more importantly they are both alive. Both have broken ribs, smashed vertebrae (5 for the pilot, 3 for the passenger). The pilot also had a puncture lung and smashed breast bone. The passenger was released from hospital this weekend and is walking with a body brace, but the pilot will be in hospital for a few more weeks/months but they sure he will walk again. I can only believe that the hand of God was on this accident because it could have been soooo much worse if they had hit a car, bus, house, powerlines, bridge,......etc
